1.) How did you two meet? Frank and Jamie met through a mutual friend, Mike Connor. Mike was an old friend of Jamie’s from college, and Frank and Mike were neighbors for several years at Marina Bay in Quincy. During one of Mike’s weekly pool parties/cookouts in the summer of 2012, Frank came home early from a business trip and headed over to the pool for Mike’s cookout. Jamie was in attendance at the cookout that afternoon, and the rest is history.
2.) How did he pop the question? Frank and Jamie were having a bottle of wine on the balcony one Friday night after a dinner out. Since all of their most serious life decisions have been made on the balcony, Frank asked Jamie to marry her that night on the balcony, and she of course said “yes.”
3.) What was your favorite moment(s) from the wedding? Our favorite moment was sitting at our sweetheart table during dinner, looking out over the ballroom and recognizing all of our friends and family who came from near and far for our wedding day.
4.) How long have you been together? 3 years.
5.) How would you describe your overall wedding experience? We thought our wedding experience was absolutely perfect. The beach is a very important part of our lives, so it was a dream come true to be able to get married on the beach, especially on Cape Cod, which is a very important place for both of us.
6.) What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding? Know yourselves, know exactly what you want, and work hard to execute that vision.
7.) What photography-related advice would you offer to a couple? We would recommend definitely doing an engagement session with your wedding photographer prior to the wedding. It is a great opportunity to meet and work with your photographer when they are “in their element,” so that the wedding day is not the first time you work together in a photography-related environment.
9.) How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day? We had a great experience working with Steve and Melvin on our wedding day. Steve was present for all of our formalities, as well as countless candids, without being intrusive to us, our wedding party, or our guests. It was a pleasure to work with a professional vendor who was in communication with us at all points throughout our wedding day.
10.) Did you see each other before the wedding? If not, did you like waiting or would you have rather done it differently? Tell me why or why not! We did not see each other before the wedding and were glad that we did it that way. It helped build the excitement for our ceremony that we would not see each other until Jamie walked down the aisle on the beach that afternoon.
11.) Any tips on how to prepare for the wedding photos? Again, definitely do an engagement session to get to know your photographer in advance of the big day. Do plenty of research into the types of specific photos you want taken on your wedding day and communicate those requests to your photographer well in advance of the wedding, so that the service can be tailored to your day. Finally, when the big day comes, relax and let your personality shine through in the photos – it will make for the best possible final product!
12.) Any tips that you have about preparing your wedding party for the photos? What did you tell them, how did you get them to cooperate, what did you do or what would you have done differently? Be sure to communicate your expectations to the wedding party in advance of the big day when they’ll be needed for pictures (especially just before and after the ceremony). Also, for wedding party and family pictures after the ceremony, have a list of photos you will plan to take, and who will be necessary for each pose. Structure the order of the formal pictures in a way that wedding party members and family members can be dismissed to the cocktail hour when they’re done, so that they don’t need to stand around and wait for the rest of pictures to be completed.
13.) Any tips on what to bring? If you need any props for your pictures, make sure you’ve made prior arrangements for them to be at their location so that there are no unnecessary delays during the photo session.

15.) Did you find a store/site that had everything you were looking for? Use this space to talk about favorite shops. You can include where you got your dress, sites you got your veils/décor/accessories, etc. A lot of our wedding decorations, accessories, and the bridemaid dresses came from independent vendors and craftspeople on Etsy.com
17.) What’s one piece of advice you would give to other couples for planning their wedding? Start the planning process as early as possible. Even when you think you have covered all the details, there will be many more things you haven’t even thought about. Also, the earlier you start planning, the more money you will be able to save for your wedding, the more likely you will be to get your first choice vendors, and the more time you will have to adjust plans as changes come up during the planning process.
18.) Have you had any prior photo sessions? If so, what type, and where? We did an engagement session about 9 months before the wedding day. Our engagement photos were taken at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA and Borderland State Park in Easton, MA
19.) What kind of food was served at your reception? Our cocktail hour hors d’ourves consisted of a New England Style Raw Bar, a selection of meats and cheeses, and other pass hors d’ourves. The meal consisted of New England clam chowder, salad, Grilled Filet Mignon with Maine Lobster Cake or Grilled Swordfish with Sweet Potato Hash. For desert, we had Montilio’s cupcakes and a candy bar.
